On Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 at 9 p.m. at the Municipal Theater in Piacenza, the Nicolini Conservatory of Piacenza will confer on Donato Renzetti <\/strong>– Director Emeritus of the Carlo Felice Opera – an Honorary Degree<\/em> in Composition.<\/div>\n

Before devoting himself to conducting, Maestro Renzetti had undertaken studies in composition at the Milan Conservatory with Bruno Bettinelli. The honorary title celebrates his career always oriented toward the enhancement of a wide musical repertoire and the valuable activity of training young conductors, with an approach based on the analysis and study of composition. On that occasion, the Maestro gives a lectio magistralis<\/em> conducting the debut of the Conservatory’s \u201cAntonio Votto\u201d Symphony Orchestra, featuring music by Ludwig van Beethoven and Felix Mendelssohn. <\/div>\n
