The performance of the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne<\/strong>, in Nervi on its only Italian date with this programme, will see the ballet company perform three choreographies.Alors on danse\u2026 !<\/em><\/strong>, by Gil Roman, with music by John Zorn, Citypercussion and Bob Dylan was first performed at the Lausanne Opera House on 11 February 2022. Roman’s work, dedicated to the dancer Patrick Dupond, aims to create a choreographic sequence inspired by classical ballet that celebrates the pure pleasure of dance in a light atmosphere. Segue Liebe und Tod<\/strong><\/em>, composta da due pas de deux<\/em> di Maurice B\u00e9jart dei primi anni 2000, su musiche da Des Knaben Wunderhorn<\/em> di Gustav Mahler. Liebe und Tod<\/em> riunisce una coreografia realizzata in precedenza, sulle note del Lid Wo die sch\u00f6nen Trompeten blasen<\/em>, e una seconda coreografia dedicata a Gil Roman sul Lid Der Tamboursg\u2019sell<\/em>. Il programma si conclude con 7 danses grecques<\/em><\/strong>, realizzata da Maurice B\u00e9jart nel 1983 su musiche di Mikis Theodorakis e ispirata al folklore greco. B\u00e9jart’s research is oriented towards a direct and sincere expression of the Greek popular spirit.<\/p>\n\n

Since its inception in 1987, the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne<\/strong> has been a reference point in the world of dance. Since Maurice B\u00e9jart’s death in 2007, the company has been maintaining its artistic excellence. Maurice B\u00e9jart always wanted to open up the world of ballet to a wider audience. Animated by the same spirit, the BBL dancers perform all over the world. The B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne is one of the very few companies capable of filling such immense spaces as the NHK Hall in Tokyo, the Kremlin State Palace in Moscow, the Herodes Atticus Odeon in Athens, the Palais des congr\u00e8s in Paris, the Forest National in Brussels or the Patinoire in Malley-Lausanne.Since 2007, under its artistic direction, the Ballet B\u00e9jart Lausanne has maintained and developed a vast repertoire, at the heart of which remains the work of Maurice B\u00e9jart, with emblematic choreographies such as Le Sacre du Printemps<\/em>, Bol\u00e9ro<\/em>, The Ninth Symphony<\/em> or Ballet for Life<\/em>. Choreographers such as Alonzo King, Tony Fabre, Christophe Garcia, Giorgio Madia, Yuka Oishi or Julio Arozarena have contributed to the creative development of the B\u00e9jart Ballet. The Company remains faithful to its vocation: to preserve Maurice B\u00e9jart’s work, while remaining a space for creation.<\/p>\n\n
