NAVIGARE INSIEME

Navigare Insieme is the project that makes the Teatro Carlo Felice increasingly inclusive and accessible to everyone, thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Carige.

In the 2025/2026 Season, on the occasion of certain operas in the program – starting with Il trovatore – the audience will be able to experience opera thanks to a series of accessibility services designed for different needs. Digital tools are available, including: audio descriptions and tactile maps for blind and visually impaired people, LIS (Italian Sign Language) videos for deaf people, subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing people, and easy-to-read opera guides.

Before the performances, multisensory tours are also offered for people with disabilities and their companions, to discover the theatre up close through the senses.

On evenings when no multisensory tours are scheduled before the performance, the audience can still access the Teatro Carlo Felice 45 minutes before the start time.

Early entry allows visitors to become familiar with the theatre’s spaces, to be enveloped by the atmosphere of the theatre, and to prepare for the opera, including through digital in-depth content available on the Theatre’s website and accessible from smartphones:

  • Accessible digital program booklets
  • Work descriptions in Easy to Read;
  • LIS video presenting the works for deaf and hard-of-hearing people;
  • Audio descriptions for blind and visually impaired people.
