COOKIE POLICY

This website www.operacarlofelicegenova.it (hereafter, the “Site”) is managed by Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice – Passo Eugenio Montale, 4 – 16121 Genova – Italia – Tel. 0105381.1 – Fax 0105381.363 – P.IVA 00279200109 (hereafter, also referred to as the “Foundation”) .

Given that cookies are used on the Site for different purposes, with this statement the Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice explains what cookies are and how they are used on the Site “www.carlofelicegenova.it”.

WHAT COOKIES ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE USED FOR

Cookies are small text files that sites visited by the user send directly to the user’s terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites the next time the same user visits (so-called first-party cookies). In the course of browsing a site, the user may also receive cookies from different sites or web servers on his terminal equipment (so-called third-party cookies); this happens because the website visited may contain elements such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains residing on servers other than the one on which the requested page is located.

Cookies may have a lifetime limited to a single browser session (session cookies), in which case they are automatically deactivated when the user closes the browser; or they may have a predetermined expiry date, in which case they will remain stored and active on the hard disk until that expiry date, continuing to collect information over the course of different browser sessions (permanent cookies).

Cookies are used for different functions.

1. Essential technical cookies
These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the site. They allow pages to be navigated, content to be shared, and any access credentials to be stored in order to speed up access to the site and to keep preferences and credentials active while browsing. Without these cookies, the services for which users access the site cannot be provided.

2. Static and performance cookies
These cookies allow us to know how visitors use the site, so that we can assess and improve its operation and favour the production of content that best meets the information needs of our users. For instance, they let you know which pages are the most and least frequented. They take into account, among other things, the number of visitors, the time spent on the site by the average user and the way in which users arrive. In this way, it is possible to know what works well and what to improve, as well as to ensure that pages load quickly and are displayed correctly. All information collected by these cookies is anonymous and not linked to the user’s personal data.

3.User profiling cookies used by the site operator
These cookies make it possible to offer advertisements related to the user and their interests. They are also used to limit the number of views of the same ad and to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

4.Third-party functional and profiling cookies
This category includes cookies provided by third parties not directly controlled or controllable by the Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice.

These cookies, which are typically profiling cookies, may be conveyed by third parties and are not directly controllable by the Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice, which cannot therefore guarantee the use that the third party holders may make of the information collected.

WHICH COOKIES ARE USED ON THE SITE

The Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice uses some cookies on its site:

Technical cookies
The Site uses “technical” cookies, such as navigation or session cookies, and functionality cookies, which are indispensable for the proper functioning of the Site. They allow the Site to be used easily and information to be found more easily, simplifying the connection and transmission of data between the user and the Site.

Browsing or session cookies
Specifically, navigation or session cookies are used, aimed at ensuring normal navigation and use of the website, and therefore aimed at making it functional and optimising the same navigation within the site. Technical session (non-persistent) cookies are used, strictly limited to what is necessary for the safe and efficient navigation of the sites.

Functionality cookies
In addition, there are functionality cookies, which are strictly necessary to provide services explicitly requested by the user.

For the installation of the aforementioned cookies (which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed or the logout command is executed), the user’s prior consent is not required.

You may also, at any time, authorise, restrict or block cookies through your browser settings, however, if your device is set to reject these cookies, some of the Site’s services may not be displayed correctly or may not function optimally, in particular, operations to identify you and maintain your identification within the session may be more complex to perform and less secure in the absence of technical cookies.

Analytical cookies
There are also analytics cookies, used exclusively by the Site Manager, to collect information, in aggregate and anonymous form, on the number of users and how users visit the site. The configuration adopted, so as to exclude the processing of identification data, collects the following information:

• The IP address, which is masked by resetting the last 2 bytes to zero (xxx.xxx.0.0)

• The operating system used

• The type of browser

• The type of device (PC, smartphone, etc.)

First-party profiling cookies.
There are no user profiling cookies used by the Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice on the Site.

Third-party cookies
By visiting the Site, the user may receive cookies from sites operated by others, i.e. third parties, e.g. via ‘social plug-ins’ for Facebook. These are parts generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the web page of the visited host site. The presence of these plugins results in the transmission of cookies to and from all sites operated by third parties. At any time, you may authorise, restrict or block such cookies via your browser settings. The management of the information collected by these third parties is governed by the relevant privacy policy, to which the user should refer. For your convenience, the following are the web addresses of the information and handling of cookies:

Social media plug-ins
The Site uses social media plug-ins provided by major social networks (facebook.com). When visiting a web page, browser data can be transferred directly to the social network, even without direct user interaction. The user acknowledges and consents to the direct management of the social network plug-in operation by the company operating the related plug.in. When the user uses the plug-ins available through the Site (e.g. by clicking on the ‘Like’ or ‘Share’ button), the user’s browser establishes a direct connection with the server of that social network, which sends the contents of the plug-in directly to the user’s browser.

The Owner may therefore receive user data, in accordance with the social network’s terms of use and privacy policy, and may add this information to the user data already collected through its services. If the user decides to share information with social networks, the Controller will share the data with the latter in accordance with the users’ preferences. Any information disclosed to the social network will be subject to the privacy policy and terms and conditions of that social network. To prevent such social networks from collecting your personal information, please check the relevant conditions on the social network’s site.

The Facebook service has been integrated on the site, with its likes and widgets, and therefore Facebook pixels are used. in order to collect or receive information from the website and use that information to provide specific services to certain recipients who may be interested (further information can be found at the following link https://it-it.facebook.com/business/help/742478679120153) .

It is possible to deactivate the collection and use of information for the ‘targeting’ of advertisements by going to the following link :http://www.aboutads.info/choices e http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/

Analysis cookies from third-party services
These cookies are used to collect information on the use of the Site by users in an anonymous form such as: pages visited, time spent, traffic origins, geographical origin, age, gender and interests for the purpose of marketing campaigns. These cookies are sent from third-party domains outside the Site.

Cookies for integrating third-party software products and functions
This type of cookie integrates functionalities developed by third parties within the pages of the Site such as icons and preferences expressed in social networks for the purpose of sharing Site content or for the use of third-party software services (such as software to generate maps and other software offering additional services). These cookies are sent by third-party domains and partner sites that offer their functionality between the pages of the Site.

Third-party profiling cookies
The Site does not recognise the use of third-party profiling cookies.

Cookie management
Users can manage their cookie preferences directly within their browser and prevent – for example – third parties from installing cookies. Through your browser preferences, you can also delete cookies installed in the past, including the cookie in which you may have saved your consent to the installation of cookies by this site. It is important to note that by disabling all cookies, the functioning of this site may be impaired.

Therefore, the user can authorise, limit or block cookies through the browser settings, however, if he/she sets his/her device to refuse technical cookies, some services of the Site may not be displayed correctly or function sub-optimally.
