The Youth America Grand Prix is back: the greatest international ballet contest and network

Youth America Grand Prix 2023 Gala

After its success at the 2021 and 2022 Nervi Music Ballet Festival, the Youth America Gran Prix Youth America Gran Prixthanks to the collaboraton with Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice di Genovato present the third edition of a format merging a high degree of education and the dimension of live artistic performance in an event of international visibility and prestige. The evening will be inaugurated by grand défilé de ballet of the master class students. 150 promising talents of international ballet will share the stage with ballet soloists and the étoiles from some of the most renowned international ballets: Adji Cissoko – Alonzo King LINES Ballet (USA), Reece Clarke – The Royal Ballet (UK), Valentine Colasante – Paris Opera Ballet (FRANCIA), Mathias Heymann – Paris Opera Ballet (FRANCIA), Anne Jung – International Guest Artist and Former Dancer, Nederlands Dans Theater (OLANDA), Maria Khoreva – Mariinsky Ballet (RUSSIA), Vsevolod Maievskyi – Dresden Semperoper Ballett (GERMANIA), Natalia Osipova – The Royal Ballet (UK), Emma Von Enck – New York City Ballet (USA), Kyra Coco – ABT Studio Company (USA), Brady Farrar – ABT Studio Company (USA), Takumi Miyake – American Ballet Theatre (USA).

Youth America Grand Prix is the greatest international contest and network dedicate to ballet, in collaboration with the best academies and companies such as the École de danse de l’Opéra de Paris, the Teatro Mariinsky Ballet, the John Cranko School of the Stuttgart Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre and the San Francisco Ballet, to name a few. Every year, the organizers search for new talents in 6 continents and over 30 countries including Italy in the last five years. The found talents are then invited to New York together with the principals of the best schools and companies for a final show and the scholarships assignment; The event closes with a special gala at David H. Koch Theater of Lincoln Center. The gala evening Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow put a spotlight on both the contest winners, among th most brilliant young talents, and the brightest ballet stars, many of whom are ex-students of YAGP. Some of the most renowned YAGP winners are Sergei Polunin, Kimin Kim, Vadim Muntagirov and Hannah O’Neill, Roberto Bolle, Polina Semionova, Diana Vishneva and other imoprtant names of international ballet. Among the highlights of the New York ballet season season, the event is usually sold out.
