The Pesto Music Festival gets into full swing with one of the most eagerly awaited events of the festival: on Monday, March 16, Genoa’s Teatro della Gioventù will host the Steve Gadd Trio, an extraordinarily prestigious group on the international jazz scene.
The festival, strongly supported by Fondazione Carige with artistic direction by Zenart Management and sponsorship from the Liguria Region, was created with the aim of bringing major live music artists to the city, offering the public artistic experiences of the highest level.
The star of the evening will be the trio composed of Steve Gadd on drums, Michael Blicher on saxophone, and Dan Hemmer on keyboards: an ensemble that represents a true celebration of groove and musical harmony. Their sound naturally and energetically blends jazz, soul, and funk, giving life to engaging and refined performances. Considered one of the most influential drummers in the history of modern music, Steve Gadd brings his unmistakable style, built up over decades of collaborations with world-renowned artists, to the stage in Genoa. Together with Blicher and Hemmer, the trio develops a compact and creative musical dialogue, capable of winning over both jazz enthusiasts and a wider audience.
