Education Proposals for 2025–2026
The Carlo Felice Theater announces its “Education 2025–26” program for children and students of all ages and school levels, promoting musical theater, opera, dance, and symphonic music performances, recognizing the importance of guiding the younger generations in discovering such a rich and incredible musical heritage.
Like a lighthouse guiding sailors, Carlo Felice aims to make music an essential part of every child’s development, highlighting both the connections it can foster and its beneficial effects on neurodevelopment.

CORPI IN MUSICA
The show introduces young audiences to the whole world and the love that Debussy devoted to childhood. It begins with the piano suite Children’s Corner, which he composed inspired by his three-year-old daughter, Emma-Claude, and continues with the ballet La boîte à joujoux (“The Toy Box”), a one-act ballet for children in four scenes, composed in 1913.

ZÊNA
The opera is a one-act version of the musical comedy Zêna (If I Think Home), inspired by the folk song Ma se ghe penso. The plot follows the story of a young man from late-19th-century Genoa who sets out to seek his fortune in Argentina, armed only with high hopes and a basil seedling, thanks to which he will eventually make a name for himself.
